The Library and Learning Resource Center provides support for all aspects of the curriculum. All Early Childhood Education and Elementary School classes spend time in the Library on a regular basis. The Library staff also teach a Library Skills class and participate in the school's acclaimed Science Fair and Research Skills program.

Philosophy:

To promote reading habits and provide support for student and teacher research by supplying resources in traditional and new technology formats.

Objectives:

1. To help achieve institutional academic goals in an integrated, active, flexible and dynamic way, by providing resources and up-to-date information services to the community it serves.

2. To promote and strengthen learning through collaboration with staff, students and other members of the community, fostering creativity, recreation, sensitivity, research, and critical thinking.

3. To stimulate an interest in reading, abstraction of ideas and critical thinking as well as the appropriate use of the library and its resources.

4. To provide the organization and adequately trained personnel to facilitate search, selection and retrieval of the information while guaranteeing its proper preservation.

5. To endow the library with adequate and appropriate materials to support the academic program.
